Mike Goodson, after one very embarrassing week, has rejoined the rest of his teammates for OTAs in Florham Park, NJ. A late-night traffic stop turned into an arrest and some very serious charges for the recently signed free-agent out of Oakland.
Mike Goodson entered a plea of not guilty to the following charges: unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of a loaded handgun, possession of a hollow-point bullet, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Goodson has some catching up to do, and even though he’s penciled in at the top of the rotation, players like Chris Ivory, Bilal Powell, Joe McKnight and John Griffin have a leg-up in the race for playing time in a crowded backfield! (CLICK HERE FOR MORE ON THE JETS CROWDED BACKFIELD)
As long as Goodson performs on the playing field, fans will forgive a non-violent traffic incident in a parked vehicle where he was not the driver. Goodson claims the gun found in the vehicle was not his. Thankfully for him, the gun was not tucked in the waistband of a pair of sweatpants (Sorry Plax).
