CLICK HERE TO LISTEN: In this week’s edition of the Green & White Show with Joseph Haas & Jinx Grand, your hosts start the show with What Jets Said.  The focus of the segment was Geno Smith, and the continued criticism he’s received from the media.  Is he ready to be a starting QB in the NFL… in New York City?  Should Geno Smith start right away, or would he benefit from time on the sideline watching and learning?  We know he’s a talent, but can Geno run the west coast offense?  Rookie mini camps are underway and we get our first look at #7.  We discuss Geno’s chances at winning the starting job, as well as what the team should do with Mark Sanchez.

In Rumors, Rosters & the Rest, we discuss whether it really is a five-man QB competition like GM John Idzik asserted.  We also analyze the new-look linebacking core for the New York Jets.  Demario Davis’s move to inside linebacker dominates or discussion of the roster.  The Jets were one of the worst tackling teams in football last season; a younger, faster Davis should help solidify that area of the defense.  We touch on the move of Quinton Coples from DE to OLB, and the additions of Dee Milliner & Dawan Landry to the secondary.  Can Sheldon Richardson help Mo Wilkerson bring “effective pressure” on opposing passers?  We wrap the segment by comparing the Jets to the rest of the AFC East.

In the Great Debate, your hosts discuss a topic that seems taboo in the NFL, PEDs!  After a Boston Globe article implying Red Sox slugger David Ortiz’s hot start with zero spring training smells of PED use, Ortiz was forced to respond.  We bring the conversation of PED usage to the NFL.  Why is it never an issue in the sport?  Is it testing?  Are players really not using… or just not getting caught?  We have a healthy debate on the topic.

In conclusion, we mourn the loss of WR George Sauer Jr., and detail his impact on the greatest game in New York Jets history.  George Sauer Jr. dead at 69.
