In this week’s edition of the Green & White Show with Joseph Haas & Jinx Grand, your hosts take a trip out west (not literally of course)!  It’s that time of year, when skill players pack their bags and take a trip to Mark Sanchez’s Jets West camp.  Geno Smith has decided to skip the trip and do his own thing.  We discuss the pros and cons of Geno’s decision.  Should he have swallowed his pride and taken part in this team-building exercise?  JG and I go back and forth on topic.  We agree on some points, disagree on other points, and have a very enjoyable debate on Geno’s absence from Jets West.  What do you think?  Should he have taken the trip?

In What Jets Said, Mark Sanchez exudes confidence with his comments during the week.  According to Sanchez, their really isn’t a competition and he’ll “absolutely” win the starting job.  Do you agree with Mark Sanchez?  Do you agree with LaDainian Tomlinson, who has a completely different perspective on the abilities of his former teammate?  Mark Brunell chimes in on the topic as well, and we discuss all three!  Mark Sanchez may look the part of QB, but can he play the role of starting QB?  We also touch on a very serious topic around the New York Jets this past week, and their retort to some inflammatory comments by a website about one of their 2013 draft picks.  A website called fifth-round draft pick (and Brooklyn-born) Oday Aboushi a “Muslim Extremist” in a story published this past Tuesday.  Both the team and Mr. Aboushi vehemently deny the magazine’s claims.  The Anti-Defamation League also issued a statement defending Mr. Aboushi.

In Rumors, Roster & The Rest, we chase down Rex Ryan as he runs with the bulls in Spain!  Gotta love those J E T S Jets! Jets! Jets!  Don’t worry fans… training camp is right around the corner.  Hacking the NYJ for us is our player-expert Nolan Hack (@NolanHack).  This week, we discuss Geno Smith’s absence from Jets West and what he needs to do on his own to be ready for training camp.  Nolan talks about some of Geno’s deficiencies and gives us his take on Geno’s no-show at Jets West… in this week’s edition of Hackin’ the NYJ.

Lauren Beasley (@LBeasley313) joins us for The Rest Report, where she updates us on the other teams in the AFC East.  This week we focus the update of the New England Patriots and the Aaron Hernandez investigation on the franchise, and how they pick up the pieces.  Another New England player busted, this time for DUI, shines the spotlight again on Robert Kraft’s franchise.  Lauren gives us her take on the organization both on and off the field.  The Buffalo Bills and Jairus Byrd have until early next week to work out a long-term contract, but is he asking for too much?  Is EJ Manuel or Kevin Kolb the starter in Buffalo on WEEK 1?  Lauren answers these questions and gives her take on the Geno Smith’s absence at Jets West… all in The Rest Report with Lauren Beasley.

In the Great Debate, we ask the question everyone knows is coming… does the NFL have an image problem?  More arrests and mug shots of NFL players make us ponder the question, a question with a complicated answer.  Does a violent sport produce violent people?  We discuss those questions and toss around a few solutions to the problem of NFLers getting in trouble on their off-time.  How can the NFL take charge of cleaning up its image?  Do you agree or disagree with our take on the topic?  We bring up examples of Adam Jones, Dez Bryant and other popular NFL troublemakers… we discuss that and more on this week’s edition of the Green And White Show with Joseph Haas and Jinx Grand!  CLICK HERE TO LISTEN and enjoy!!
